On SD 49907.26, the Manticore followed the USS Republic into Sector 27, while under cloak. The Republic was just on a routine patrol, but they had been assigned this sector by mistake, since it is the location of many Black Ops experiments. Remnants of such an experiment has caused local ripples in Space/Time and it is tearing up both ships. The two vessels started working together and trying to find the source of the disturbance to save themselves from being torn apart. They found a planetoid as the center of the ripples and were able to destroy it and barely get away in time.
